establishing the norms.
Looks as though it's been about a year since I jotted anything down in here. It actually feels a bit longer than that, to be honest. So, forgive me but this entry might be more personal than I had intended for the sake of catching things up to speed.
I'm still not sure what this blog is about yet. Let's just talk about relevant things. Sophomore year has come and gone. My major has currently been changed into a mouth-full. Hello, I am double-major in Communications with a concentration in Advertising and Fine Arts with a concentration in Graphic Design & Digital Media ...and a minor in Photography. Keeping my options open. Not being a full major in photography, however, is somewhat devastating. My rationale is that one doesn't need to MAJOR in photography in order to do it and cheaper workshops are always out there for learning new things. Meanwhile, Communications w/ Advertising is practical and Graphic Design is a mix of it all. Although, I'm honestly scared shitless of the competition. Still, my stomach churns a bit every time I hear someone say they're a Photographer for a living. It's probably the only fully thought-out dream I've ever had--but hey, it's still an option. Okay, so why is this relevant? Hold on. I'm getting to it, so just bare with me a little longer. So, the extra major obviously means more school time. Looks like I'll have to do 1 extra semester + an extra summer--but I figure that's not bad considering I'm getting 2 degrees and a minor. This, however, puts kind of a damper on internships and the study abroad I mentioned previously. I probably won't be talking about study abroad again. Internships though--probably yes. Alright so...the point. I initially said that this blog will be a web of inspiration and that's what it's going to do. I'm not sure how it's going to work yet, but I figure I'll talk about all things visual. So, expect lots of DESIGN and VISUALS. We're talking interior design, fashion, graphic design, decorations, photography, film, and other things that make me a happy camper. Occasionally I'll chime in how the degrees are going, but it'll be relevant. More kind-of relevant mumbojumbo. I've become increasingly more domesticated over the past year. From watching too much TLC to moving into my first apartment to watching too much HDTV and being obsessed with Interior Design. I say this because you can expect it in future entries.
